Fox News Demostrates 'Fair and Balanced'

An internal memo from Fox News reveals just how fair and balanced they really are. It tells Fox News employees to be on the lookout for statements from Iraqi insurgents who are thrilled at the prospect of a Democrat-controlled Congress.

Of course the insurgents are going to come out with quotes saying that they are happy with the election results. They said the same thing when George W. Bush won reelection in 2004. They are always going to put on that strong face, because they are based on propaganda. In order to succeed, they need to convince people that they are right and they are winning. Although the US is losing the fight for peace in Iraq, the insurgents are not winning. To win, they would have to create a stable society that believes in their views. Instead, they have anarchy, with people holding a variety of views. While the US is at least leading the war for freedom, the insurgents are losing on both of their measurements.

So why is it so important for Fox News to show that insurgents are fans of Democrats? I thought they were fair and balanced. I guess they're more fair to some parties than others.
