With the hype swirling around Barack Obama these days, I think it's about time we all step back and take a look at his political views. Don't just believe what Fox News tells you (I've heard they've been trying to make it look like he was brainwashed at an Islamic school when he was very young). Here are some of the facts:

- Voted to raise the minimum wage
- Voted against tax breaks for businesses
- Voted against a bizarre law that would let people plead self-defense if they violated a local gun ban if they used within their home
- Sponsored a law to study the "driving while black" problem
- Helped pass an overhaul of the state death penalty system (Hey Texans, you could learn a lesson from this guy)
- Voted for stem cell research
- Voted for universal health care
- Voted against school vouchers (I oppose his view on this issue, but I realize most liberals are reluctant to take money away from teachers unions)

I'll add more as the Obama campaign gains momentum.
