Comedian Richard Jeni died earlier today of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the face. He was best known for his HBO comedy specials, which brought pleasure to millions. The last time I saw him he was doing one of those lame shows on VH1 where comedians make fun of celebrities. I guess that explains a lot about where his career had gone.

In lieu of flowers, please send a letter to VH1, asking them to cancel all of their current programming and go back to showing music videos from decades past. Yes, I know there's a VH1 Classic. That doesn't excuse the regular VH1 from playing crap 24/7.
