Cheney, Giuliani, Abramoff Linked To DC Madam Scandal

What link do Dick Cheney and Rudy Giuliani have to disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff? Besides shady political dealings, they have all used the "services" of a Washington D.C. escort.

Anyone who has paid any attention to Rudy Giuliani's personal life during his political career knows that he has lived the life of a Roman emperor, complete with orgies before and after breakfast. He's on his third wife, who happened to be his mistress while he was with his second wife. That was a big story surrounding him before he became the hero of 9/11. I'll give $100 to the first person who can name specifically what his heroic acts were. The fact that he used an escort to get off is no surprise. Where do you think all the "street walkers" went when Rudy cleaned them off the streets of New York? That's right, Rudy's basement.

Dick Cheney NEEDS to pay money to get his jollies these days. He is the unholiest of the unholy. Lynn Cheney has reported that his unmentionables are actually indescribable. A black cavern filled with spiders, snakes, and Richard Nixon's decaying corpse is the closest anyone has come to painting the full picture.

Jack Abramoff is the one surprise on the list. Along with being wealthy, he's also a strong, virile man. If he weren't in prison right now, he'd still be buying off Republicans in Congress while snorting blow of the behind of a hot twentysomething with a penchant for depravity.

Why won't the mainstream media report any of this (minus my slight exaggerations, of course)? This is a much bigger scandal than anything that happened in the Clinton White House. ABC, which was going to report this on 20/20, but seemed to back out when they found out Dick Cheney was involved, needs to grow a spine. There was a time when the media knew they could control politicians, not the other way around.

Wolfowitz to Resign at End of June

World Bank President Paul Wolfowitz will be stepping down at the end of June. Wolfowitz has been embroiled in a controversy involving the appointment of his girlfriend in a high level position that she clearly had not earned. He even had control over her pay package, which included a huge raise over her previous salary. Wolfowitz has continually denied any wrongdoing, saying that he acted in good faith.

Wolfowitz was a key member of President Bush's dirty tricks team that convinced Congress and a good portion of the United States that we should go to war in Iraq. As the #2 man at the Pentagon, Wolfowitz was considered to be among the main architects of the war that nearly 3/4 of the American people want our military to withdraw from.

Is Karl Rove An Atheist?

Karl Rove is the man who many believe controls the leader of the free world. He is at the center of the Neocon movement, whose base is evangelical Christians. There are people in this country that include Karl Rove in their prayers, hoping that he will help George W. Bush lead this country into the Christian nation they think it should be. Somehow, nobody seemed to notice the Karl Rove is an atheist.

Karl Rove does not do many interviews, but when he was recently asked about his faith, he gave a very open answer, albeit with wording that could only come from a politico: I am not fortunate enough to be a person of faith.

Rove's statement could mean a few things. I think he's saying that although he is an atheist, he supports the agenda of the evangelicals. That might be a sign of mental illness.

Lamar Smith Takes Money From RIAA, Makes Threats On Their Behalf

Today's despicable scum-of-the-earth hails from the state of Texas. Republican Representative Lamar Smith has been accepting money from the RIAA, the group that represents the music industry and has been filing blanket lawsuits against college students it claims have been illegally downloading music. That's understandable, as long as Mr. Smith does not let that money influence him. Of course, we are talking about Texas politics, so you know where this is going.

Lamar Smith recently sent out letters to 20 U.S. universities, threatening them to answer RIAA requests for student names and information or "Congress will be forced to act." It's clear that these letters were sent on behalf of Lamar Smith's friends at the RIAA. No decent politician would chide many of this countries fine universities in such a way.

These colleges are often just protecting the privacy of their students. The RIAA is not a legal authority. When they send out a subpoena to a college, requesting the name of a student using an IP address that they believe was file-sharing, the college SHOULD NOT supply that information. If they RIAA wants to force the issue, they should gather the appropriate evidence and get the proper authorities involved. To think that colleges should give out student information to a private organization is preposterous.

I wouldn't expect Lamar Smith to know how the law works - after all, he is just a legislator. Like just about any Texas politician, he only knows how to shovel money into his pockets and protect those supplying it.

The latest batch of RIAA settlement letters, which are really just empty threats of lawsuits, have been sent out to students at Duke, Brandeis, Iowa State, Northern Illinois, Syracuse, Tufts, Georgia, Iowa, USC, South Florida, Tennessee, MIT, and several others. I urge all those students to contact their lawyers or someone at the EFF immediately. You SHOULD fight this. The RIAA earns revenue by sending out thousands of these threatening letters a year, hoping that hundreds of people will settle for thousands of dollars apiece. It's fake lawsuit spam. They get scared when people fight back, because they don't have the evidence to succeed in court. I think everyone who receives one of these settlement letters should hire a lawyer, fight the claim, and demand lawyer fees after you win. Taking away the RIAA's revenue source is the only way they'll ever learn. That, and not electing people like Lamar Smith who are in the RIAA's pocket.

Can The Government Hide The Truth From Us For 37 Years? You Bet.

When a person with no political power does something wrong, chances are they will pay for it. When the government does something wrong, like say killing four innocent and unarmed college students using very intentional military force, everyone gets away with it, and the truth remains hidden until few people care about it.

The Kent State Massacre was a moment that defined a generation. Student protesters were trying to stop the war in Vietnam by demonstrating to President Nixon how they felt. That's a good thing. That's how our country works. If you don't like something, you show that you don't like and organize with like minds until the government notices.

Among the many things that our current president has in common with Richard Nixon is the fact that they dislike the United States of America. They hate American freedom, they hate American citizens. When Richard Nixon told the governor to suppress the student demonstrations at Kent State, it was clear that he did not just want to make sure the situation didn't get out of hand. He wanted to scare the college students with machine guns and tanks. It was a message to students across the country: the president has more firepower than the American people.

It was finally revealed this week that the tragedy at Kent State was not started by some rogue soldier in the Ohio National Guard. The order to fire was given from an officer at a time when none of the uniformed military present was in any conceivable danger. That little fact is historically monumental, and it has been hidden from the American public for the past 37 years.

Richard Nixon spent the last 25 years of his life - and tens of millions of dollars to a public relations firm - trying to trick Americans into thinking there was a conspiracy against him and he wasn't the monster he was made out to be. The truth is, Richard Nixon was far worse than we could have ever imagined. He should have been hanged, shot, and dragged around the beltway, so even the poor people living in the projects would be able to sleep well, knowing beyond reasonable doubt that the evil tyrant was dead.

President Bush holds the same contempt for the American people as Nixon once did. He is brash enough to surround himself with like-minded bigots and warhawks. He truly believes that he will be the one who leads the human race into Armageddon and the final battle with Satan. He prides himself on his faith, despite a long history of drug and alcohol abuse, sexual deviancy, and forcing abortions on partners. Of course, that's not even taking into account the countless lives he has wasted in a war that he knew was pointless from the start. What part of his personal faith is he so proud of? Perhaps the fact that he believes there is someone out there who knows everything he's done and will still forgive him. God knows no human who knew Bush's sordid past could possibly forgive him.
