| I've been updating some pages recently, so I though I should post
some of the links here. I'm not sure if this belongs in sports or
hobbies, but for now I'll keep these links in sports. For all of
you collectors out there I've been building some checklists of vintage
baseball card sets. Eventually there will be a page with a full
list of these pages (a checklist of checklists, if you will) but
until then here are a few samples: 1952

| Well my final score prediction for the Super Bowl was a little
off (who could have seen the offensive explosion that came at the
end of each half) but my margin of victory (and winning team) were
just about right on. Overall it was an exciting Super Bowl, complete
with a brief glimpse of Janet Jackson's chest. I thought commercials
were worse than in years past, and the rest of the half-time show
was lackluster and filled with artists that haven't been big since
1999. A statement released last night indicates that MTV will not
be producing any more Super Bowl half-time shows. |

| Well, it looks like I missed a little on my Super Bowl prediction,
but I wasn't far off. I really didn't see the Panthers playing so
well in the playoffs, so they were quite a surprise for me. I still
like the Patriots in the Super Bowl, but it should be a close (and
fairly low-scoring) game. I'll go ahead a predict a final score...
Patriots 14 - Panthers 10. I never would have thought in mid-September
that I'd be making that prediction, especially after the Patriots
lost on opening day to the Bills, 31-0. The Patriots avenged that
loss later in the season, beating the Bills with the same score.

| I'd like to avoid as much criticism as possible, so I won't reveal
my favorite NFL team, but I will tell you that they aren't going
to the playoffs, and its because they don't deserve it. Their coach
is a dumbass, and the offense lacks heart. Out of the teams that
are going to the playoffs, I think the Patriots and the Eagles will
make it to the Super Bowl. Patriots will win in a tight game, possibly
including a first-ever Super Bowl overtime. |

| The Nomar-ARod deal appears to be dead, and I could care less.
I'm a Red Sox fan (well, more of a pure Yankee-hater) but I really
didn't see what good was going to come from this deal. Nomar and
Manny did fine last year, and they should do just as well this year.
I think the Red Sox pitching has improved enough to allow them to
at least keep pace in what will be (by far) the most competitive
division in baseball. I expect the Yankees and Red Sox will be the
best 2 teams in the MLB, and the Blue Jays and Orioles will be better
than the teams that win the AL Central and AL West. |
