Cool Snow Doughnut

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
Usually, gravity causes snow rolling down a hill to collapse into a ball. If they snow happens to be just the right consistency, it won't collapse, and the rolling snow will form a doughnut shape.

UFO Spotted At Chicago's O'Hare Airport

On November 7, 2006, employees at the United terminal of O'Hare Airport in Chicago reported seeing an elliptical craft hovering motionless over Concourse C. The control tower confirmed that they could see the object, but found nothing on the radar. The object flew away in a bolt of energy that left a hole in otherwise overcast skies.

As many as a dozen United Airlines employees reported seeing the object. Neither the airport nor government officials have investigated the event. In the age of cell phones equipped with video cameras, I have to wonder why nobody thought to take a video of the aircraft and post it on YouTube. Isn't that the American way?

Sylvia Browne Is A Fraud

Here's a classic clip of self-proclaimed psychic Sylvia Browne getting caught in a lie. The person says they never found her loved one, and Sylvia claims she is being told he is in water. Then the person reveals that the person died on 9/11, and they never recovered any pieces of his body.

Sylvia tries to worm out of the lie that is her life by saying the victims lungs seemed to have been filled with water, perhaps from firefighters putting out the blaze. That's impossible, because if the victim died in that way they would have recovered at least some of the body.

A Pool Filled With Non-Newtonian Fluid

I came across this great video of a very weird fluid. It's actually a mix of cornstarch and water, mixed with a concrete mixer. The resulting fluid does not appear to be thick like mud. It actually kind of looks like milk.

So what's so special about it? When pressure is applied to it, it behaves like a solid. That means people can walk across a tank of it, as long as they walk fast, sort of like walking on hot coals. If they stop walking, they'll sink in. Once they are immersed, it really does look the guy is sitting in a tub of milk, but people could walk around the surface over him.

Congressman Mark Foley Action Figure on Ebay

An action figure sculptor is selling a mock-up of a Mark Foley action figure. The non-articulated sculpture comes complete with pants around ankles, bottle of liquor in left hand and a blackberry for sending text messages to young pages in the right hand. Current price is $50 plus $8 shipping and handling.

I think this will compete with the Tickle Me Elmo Extreme for the hot toy this holiday season.

Billionaire Wynn Damages Picasso

Billionaire casino builder Steve Wynn is also an avid art collector. He may soon be known as a art destroyer. While showing off a Picasso valued at over $140 million last week, he stood too close to the painting and ending up turning right into, puncturing a silver dollar-size hole in the work of art with his elbow.

Picasso's "Le Reve" is one of the most prized works in the art world. It depicts Picasso's mistress, Marie-Therese Walter. The damage to the piece will be repaired by a professional restorer. Wynn has a condition that affects his peripheral vision which has been cited as the probably cause of the mishap. Of course, many will question why such a valued piece of art was anywhere near a person with Wynn's condition without any protection.

Coming next week: casino visitors will have the opportunity to bet on how fast the Mona Lisa will burn. Steve Wynn will destroy the priceless work of art using only lighter fluid, flint, and switchgrass.

The Chupacabra Has Been Captured

A farmer has captured a chupacabra, an animal with some form of weird genetic mutation. It looks like a cross between a dog and a kangaroo. Perhaps the two animals finally figured out a way to meet. Take that, traditional science! Here's the short video:
